Swing Gates
Security and curb Appeal
Automated swing gates (driveway entry gates or “estate” gates) add convenience, curb appeal and security. Available in a range of styles and sizes, fabricated in either aluminum or galvanized steel – options are available to work with a wide range of applications.
Compared to a sliding gate, swing gates are mechanically simpler in design. Because of this, swing gates are less expensive and require less maintenance than a similar slide gate.
Space Considerations
Swing gates will require level or lower grade to open the gate leaf(s) into. This area will need to be clear of vehicles & pedestrians, as well as be cleared of snow. The opened gate(s) will take up space in the driveway.
Slide Gates
Slide gates are a good option for applications where a traditional swing gate won’t work. This includes inclines/grades, space considerations, high traffic / high cycle systems, and
larger openings.
Cantilever slide gates are designed with either an aluminum top-track, or a steel bottom
slide track. These tracks will slide back and forth on 2 trolleys with up to 8 wheels each
(depending on gate requirements).
